February Competitive Team Newsletter

Competitive Students: Attached is a bill for all costumes and competition fees. If it makes you feel any better my bill was the highest! I think I just feel bad with the economy on everybody’s mind and it seems the costumes are stitch higher then last year. Competition fees were also raised. The first half of your costume fees has to be paid by the 15th of February with the remaining balance due the 15h of March. The first half of Competition fees need to be paid by March 4th and the remaining balance due by April 1st. You can pay all at once or however you would like as long as these dates are met. This bill does not include if you are behind on any other payments it is strictly costumes and competition fees. If you are behind on other payments please get your account up to date as soon as possible to avoid late fees.
Please remind your girls the following…. Go to the bathroom before you come. You have to have the appropriate shoes in each class. I will list everything out on the back. Do not miss!!! Pull your hair all of it out of your face before we have to remind you. Check your daughter as she goes out the door make sure she is in dance clothes hair up and has her shoes. I have been frustrated with their appearance and laziness lately. I do offer non competitive classes for those who do not want to take it so seriously. The teams we compete against practice 2 to 3x more then we do so we really need to make our practices count. I need every girl to be giving 100% from here on out. I along with the other teachers feel like we have to drag it out of some of them each week, while others are really trying their best.
Our first competition is April 4th in St. George.
2nd April 18th at Clearfield High
3rd is May 9th in the Salt Lake Valley
Last is May 16th at UVSC
Mini-team you will be competing on April 18th and May 9th. (if you are participating in the production # you will participate at all 4 competitions) In March we will have some extra mandatory practices that your child must attend. I will let you know the dates as soon as I know them.


We are working on two upcoming parties. The first one is a flat split party that will be at the end of this month. Anyone reaching their goal in splits set for them at the beginning of the year will be invited. Watch for you invitation! I want all the girls to know how proud I am of them with their splits most of them have really been working very hard at this and it does not go unnoticed!!
/the other party will be for the class with the best attendance it will be at the end of the season.. So try not to miss. I will be having a drawing at the end of each month for prizes for those who have not missed at all during that month. Thank you For dancing With Us! We love you all….

Below is a list of each class and what they need for competitions
Everyone(except mini-team) is also required to have a nude colored leotard underneath all costumes. This is for changing and your protection, we have had costumes come untied etc. and this has saved so much embarrassment!! You are required to get your own tights and shoes, I do have some but this is your responsibility. I will be placing an order that could include shoes nude leotards, tights etc, email me if you would like me to add anything to this order. It is your responsibility however to make sure you order the right sizes, I cannot deal with exchanges etc.
Monday 4:30 Blue Costume you already have. Suntan body wrapper brand tights, foot undies. Curly hair piece. .
Monday 5:30 Pants(being made for us) $ 35, net shirt $18, leotard $12. Because this costume ended up pretty expensive we will just use our tan jazz shoes with the Suntan body wrapper brand tights. Curly hair piece.
Monday 6:30. Costume on its way $50, suntan body wrapper brand tights and nude foot undies. Curly hair piece

Monday 8:30 Indie Costume $35, Hat $12, $5 to have costume altered, $9 spikey hair piece. You will need a black leotard to wear under costume and tan tights and tan jazz shoes.
Tuesday 3:30 Army dress with trunks $38, you will need a white leotard to wear underneath this costume if you are in the Thursday 8:30 hip-hop class you should use the leotard that goes with that costume. If you are not you need to get one, let me know if you want me to order you one they are $13. You also need suntan body wrapper brand tights and tan jazz shoes. Curly hair piece
Tuesday 6:30 Cowgirl costume(on its way) $45, hat $8, boot spats $10, you will also need the suntan body wrapper brand tights and tan jazz shoes. We will not be using the hair piece for this dance.
Tuesday 7:30 Red and white striped costume with tutu, you already have, with suntan body wrapper brand tights and tan jazz shoes. Curly hair piece.
Tuesday 8:30 Costume on its way, main suit $40, tutu $10, $5 to have costumes altered. Suntan body wrapper brand tights black toe shoes (we will color), spikey hair piece
Wed 3:30 Lisa will let us know the price etc not competing this dance. Will only perform at the recital
Wed 4:30 black and blue costume you already have. Suntan body wrapper brand tights, foot undies, curly hair piece with head band.
Thursday 3:30 Army costume on its way $63, hat $10. Suntan body wrapper brand tights black converse/airwalk shoes (air walk shoes look like converse at payless for half the price or less). Target has some with a small star these are ok as well.
Thursday 4:30 Cat costume being made for us, $50 suntan body wrapper brand tights, tan jazz shoes, and curly hair piece.
Thursday 5:30. Red costume on its way $70, red top hat $6 suntan body wrapper brand tights, tan jazz shoes, curly hair piece

Thursday 8:30 Red pants $25, white leotard $13, shrug $18, wrist bands $3, black shoes $11, tan body wrapper brand tights. I will let you know about the hair later.
