Hi everyone, December is a very busy month I know for everyone as it is for us at dance. Here are a few reminders and dates to keep in mind:
This Thursday December 4th is our performance at the Festival of trees, I am attaching the note they sent to me giving directions to the stage etc. please read over it. Remember this performance is more of a practice the girls may seem rushed as I am trying to squeeze as many as I can in they also will be a little more polished in a few weeks at the recital. Remember competitive students you are not performing at this at all this is mainly for our younger students. (mini-team you ARE performing). Please arrive completely ready to go at 5pm we will begin at exactly 5:35 and need everyone their lined up ready to walk on at this time. Please do not be late. Remember the performers get in free all others will have to buy a ticket. I gave some of you tickets during observation that have not yet been paid for please do so as soon as possible.
There will not be any dance classes held this Thursday the 4th because all teachers will be at the performance.
Thursday December 18th is our Christmas Recital. You need to arrive at Riverton High School by 6:30pm completely ready to go so we can begin the show at exactly 7pm. Invitations are also attached to this Newsletter if you need more let me know. Because you have paid a recital fee it is free of charge to everyone so invite whomever you want. If you have not paid for your recital fee or your Christmas costume this also needs to be done as soon as possible.
We begin our Christmas break right after the recital…. Classes will resume Saturday January 3rd.
December is a full tuition month and this needs to be paid by the 10th to avoid late fees. (Thursday 6:30 & 7:30 classes your tuition is ½ for this month) We average classes out to 4 classes per month and some months you get 5 so it balances out for December.
I have a lot of outstanding balances on costumes, shoes etc these also need to be paid by the 10th to avoid late fees….

Competitive Students please remember we have a mandatory practice for all those in the Production number this Wed Dec 3rd from 4:30 to 5:30 you all need to be there! Which brings me to my attendance lecture 2010….. You need to reevaluate your commitment we are trying very hard to get all routines learned by the beginning of January and in some classes it is becoming impossible. The Thursday 4:30 class you have only had one class all year with all students there!! This will definitely show when it comes to competition time. It is so not fair to those who do come every week. Remember after the 4th absence you have to sit a performance out, we have girls who have already reached this limit…. Advance girls (smooth criminal) you are out for good after 4 absences. It will be really hard to pull someone out but I have to do it…. You need to really be choosy about what you miss for, I suggest saving them for serious sicknesses or mandatory school performances/practices. The only absences that will not count are close family funerals. I hate to be so hard nosed but it has to be done for us to stay competitive. Some of the teams we compete against practice 2 to 3x more than we do so we need to really make our time count!!
